Cutting with scissors is such and important fundamental to grip strength, fine motor skills and hand co-ordination.  These scissors are ideal for those early learners, or for those that require a bit more time to get there.  

The optional spring assist is great, as you can have it help return for those with lower strength and dexterity, or remove it for those getting a bit more advanced.
